Zero Tolerance
Zero Tolerance
Zero Tolerance is acharity working to end men's violence against women by promoting gender equality and challenging attitudes which normalise violence and abuse

Zero Tolerance is a Scottish charity working to end men's violence against women by promoting gender equality and by challenging attitudes which normalise violence and abuse.

Their work began in 1992 with a series of iconic poster campaigns designed to raise awareness and challenge attitudes about violence against women.

The focus of their work today is on primary prevention. We want to change the social attitudes and values which permit violence to occur. We take a practical, evidence-based approach to challenging violence and promoting change. To find out more about primary prevention, read the Zero Tolerance Primary Prevention Briefing Paper on recent preventative strategies undertaken in Scotland.

Historically SOSCN worked with Zero Tolerance back in 1999/2000 to pilot training for staff in out of school care. This pilot was written up for the joint European project Peace Education in Out of School Care (2000), A joint European project between 7 organisations based in a total of 4 countries: France, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Spain. SOSCN's member partners in this project were: La FundacioCatalana de l'Esplaite, Edex, CoordinadoraInfantil y Juvenil de TiempoLibre de Vallecas (Spain); L'UnionRegionale des Franca du Languedoc-Roussillon, Le Centre de Loisirs Pierre Francois de Vauvert (France) and Playboard (Northern Ireland).

Which is not available online but there are limited copies available for lending from SOSCN.
