Thursday 3rd June 10.30am - 12.00pm

Delivering a Playful & Active Summer 2021
£6

In this session out of school care services will gain practical ideas to deliver a playful and active summer. We are delighted to have input from The Judy Murray Foundation and Marguerite Hunter Blair, Chief Executive of Play Scotland.

Play Scotland is the lead organisation for the development and promotion of children and young people's play in Scotland. Marguerite will provide an overview of current policy and opportunities for play in Scotland as well as sign-posting to practical resources.

https://www.playscotland.org

The Judy Murray Foundation successfully works with organisations across Scotland to empower volunteers, teachers, parents, students and sports coaches on how to deliver fun and exciting tennis specific content in any space they have available, using simple and accessible equipment. The Foundation recognises the amazing work delivered within out of school care services and sees an exciting opportunity to integrate their playful, and hugely beneficial content into your programmes through a blend of online and/or face to face training.

Some of you may be already familiar with the Set4Sport resource, which has been highlighted in SOSCN's Physical Activity and Active Play Training sessions. This latest content is as playful and aimed at developing tennis specific skills for any age and stage of player. You will be shown many ideas on activities you could incorporate into your existing programmes both term-time and holiday.
