Data on the school care childcare workforce and other aspect or the sector

The school age care childcare sector is the largest provider of play, care, and informal learning opportunities for school-aged children. There are 904 registered school age childcare services in Scotland; 682 services where school age childcare is the main service, and 222 additional services providing care to children of school age. (Care Inspectorate, Dec 2022).
